Make Big Money Working for Kraft Foods?!

The world is really hilarious isnt it? We have lots of 'business opportunities' for all the millionaire-wannabes out there. Sieve through them, study them, read about them, understand them. Then join what you think works for you best.

Not all direct selling or internet marketing is bad. The same goes to retail marketing. Are there no dirty harrys in the wholesale and retail sale of physical goods? You bet there are. People who will deliver sub standard goods, when you paid the FULL price. A tub of miracle whitening face cream, selling for $100s over the counter is the better deal? Think again.

I recently heard from a reliable source that it is the same shit they put into another subsidiary brand of theirs, selling for a mere $29.00. Therefore, what's the difference? You pay for the rental of the display at the shopping centres, their staff. Not to mention the 'R&D' and the backroom staff. In direct selling, these costs are eliminated, but given to the most enterprising individual. It's time we get rewarded for what we work for, isnt it? We can argue till the calves become cows, and they come home.

But end of the day, the result is the same for 'real businesses', and internet businesses. The rich gets richer. It doesnt matter who gets the end of the pile, just make sure you are not the one.

I'm not selling anything here, just my 5 cents worth. The mail below is what i received last night. Feel free to comment... hehe

Clover Fever!

Wow, now this is getting interesting. We were just talking about 4 leaf clovers, now there we discovered there is 5 leaf clovers. Seems that 4 and 5 leaf clovers are growing in abundance in Japan right now, this Spring. A sign for better days ahead? Seems like it, as all financial and economics will tell you. Japanese economy is rebounding at an astounding rate.

Anyways, these are beautiful plants to behold. The very sight of them staring at you uplifts you and makes you a happier person. Logic, happy = increased productivity = profitability= stronger economy. YES, I think that's how it works! I must be a genius.

4 Leaf Clover?

My Beloved One went to buy a pot of Clovers. They appear to be purplish in the centre of each leaf, unlike the Oxalis Deppei, wonder if anyone can shed any light on it. Meanwhile, I have attached an article on the 4 Leaf Clover. ... Enjoy

Are these "real" Four-leaf Clovers?

Yes, our four-leaf clovers are hand-picked from the White Clover plant, trifolium repens, considered to be the Original Shamrock. We have been growing genuine shamrocks and four-leaf clovers since 1939. You may find others selling leaves as four-leaf clovers that are not genuine. These are actually Pepperwort or Water Clover (Marsilea Quadrifolia) or Oxalis (Oxalis deppei or Oxalis tetraphylla) plants that produce all four leaves. Another way of identifying a real four-leaf clover is that the fourth leaf is usually smaller than the other three leaves.

What do the leaves symbolize? See Four-leaf Clover Poem

One leaf is for FAITH... The second for HOPE...

The third for LOVE... And the fourth for LUCK!

In Irish tradition the Shamrock or Three-leaf Clover represents the Holy Trinity: one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit. When a Shamrock is found with the fourth leaf, it represents God's Grace.

History of the four leaf clover:

The four leaf clover is a universally accepted symbol of good luck with its origin ages old. According to legend, Eve carried a four leaf clover from the Garden of Eden.

"The clovers also occupied a position in the cultural life of early peoples. White clover (T. repens L.) in particular was held in high esteem by the early Celts of Wales as a charm against evil spirits." Clover Science and Technology". N.L. Taylor, 1985.

Druids held the 4 leaf clover in high esteem and considered them a sign of luck. In 1620, Sir John Melton wrote: "If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing.

The mystique of the four leaf clover continues today, since finding a real four leaf clover is still a rare occurrence and omen of good luck.

What is our teachers doing?

Recently, there was a case of a female high school student, appearing in school with a black sports brasserie. Under her school uniform, of course.

This is not allowed, under Singapore's school dresscodes. The student has no doubt flouted the rules here, reason unknown. Exhibitionism, taunting other students, boyfriend's gift, forgot to change to the right color for school? We do not know the real reason for her actions.

What caught my eye was the way the teacher handled the situation. She ordered the poor girl to remove her black bra, confiscating it, then promptly sent her packing for home!

She was deemed to have disgraced herself for flouting the rules, for dressing inappropriately. But by sending her home, braless, the teacher has aggravated the matter beyond it's restricted perimeters. The school is disgraced, the girl is further diagraced, not to mention utterly humiliated. Picture this, a school girl, on a public transport, during school hours, with no bra.
It does not make a pretty sight indeed.

The entire episode has turned the focus onto the educator's actions. Is it too irrelevant and harsh? What better way is there to handle the situation? Shouldn't the educator phone the parents or guardian, to have them bring a proper pair of undergarments for the girl to change? What other avenues have the educator explored, before deciding that the poor girl is to be sent home in shame, with no bra.

This is another form of sexual abuse, if you ask me, a case of outraging of modesty. Or perhaps the educator was provoked by the girl. Perhaps she was taunted and challenged by her charge. Regardless of the cause and effect, the poor Principal of the school will have lots to answer. To the student, to the parents, to the public, and everyone will be waiting to see what will happen to the educator, the discipline enforcer.

Such is Singapore, we are a small country, with no big stories to tell. This, is big news to us.
